Yeah I've kinda been neglecting this thing but I've been keeping myself busy. Now that I've finally got a few moments for Xanga, I'm going to type out a prophecy that one of the sisters at my church was given back on September 29. Hearing it has changed the way I do things and hopefully it will do the same for you. These are the words of God:

"I am calling you to a new depth of devotion to Me. I am calling you to truly lay aside the things of this word. The TV you love to watch, the games you play on the computer, and I am calling you to throw yourself totally into Me and spend your time totally devoted to My plan and My purposes. You wanted to know what it would take to change your life and to get you ready to do My plan and be a part of what I am doing in the world today. Well, I will tell you, it will cost you everything. Yes, you heard me right, it will cost you everything. Everything you love to do with your time, everything you love to do with your finances. Yes, you need to stop spending money you don't have. I never called My children to live on credit. That was what man gave the world, not me. The enemy has used it over and over to destroy people's faith and their very lives. It has never been My plan or My purpose, for it distracts from what I am calling My people to do for Me. It consumes their thought lives and it takes away your peace. Now you must purpose in your heart to get totally and completely out of debt and I will tell you what and where to sow in order to do it. As far as your heart, you need to spend more time in My word and in My presence in order to change your heart. And I will help you to do that if you will yield to My prompting when I direct you in your everyday life. Know this, that if your heart is truly bent toward Me, you will yield to Me and do the things I am calling you to do. Many of My people will never be a part of what I am doing in these last days. Oh I have given the wake up call, but they will not wake up, they will get excited about what My servant is saying, but they will not change their lives, their spending, their pastimes, they will never do much for Me to bring My Son to the earth. But if you will give it all up and do what I say, you will be a mighty weapon against the enemy and a great harvester of souls. Will you lay it all down and follow Me? Will you take up My cross and follow Me? Will you do it? Will you do it? Will you do it? I am waiting to see. I am yearing for My people to do it, but they are very busy people. Busy with entertainment more in your country than anywhere else in the world. I am yearning for them to see how I have blessed America and lay down their own desires and take My plan, but sadly most of them will not, will you? Together we will usher in the second coming of My Son." 

I totally gave up video games after I heard this. I thought I needed them occasionally to relax, but the truth is I don't. The only hard part was throwing them away, since then I haven't thought about them much at all. Honestly it feels so good to be rid of them, and I have alot more time to get stuff done while before I was mesmerized by these games for an hour or so a day. Playing a non-violent/sexual/occultic game isn't a sin, but it is a colossal time-waster and a distraction because you find yourself thinking about it instead of the things of God. Giving them up wasn't nearly as hard as I thought because God has been helping me with it, and now it barely crosses my mind. I've also all but given up TV, except for the news. It's good to cut yourself loose from the things of this world! What the Lord said about entertainment in this country has really made me think. In the last 2-3 generations our work-ethic has really gone downhill and now our lives are consumed more than ever with finding ways to entertain ourselves. In other countries this isn't so. To the poor subsistence farmer life is work, not play. I've started to realize that our purpose here is to work. Somewhere we Americans seem to have lost that. Satan's got a good bit of my generation so enthralled with video games, tv, and movies that nobody realizes what's really going on. There's a war to be fought! You don't see our troops in Iraq sitting themselves down in a combat zone to play some x-box, and it should be all the more with us. The end is near, and we need to be militant about our faith. I need ALOT of work to get to that point, but I'm going to believe that God is going to take me there.
