| | Wow... where do I begin? Alot of exciting stuff has been happening lately! God is really moving and shaking things up at my church. It's only been 2 weeks since our worship, youth, and drama leader Keith passed away and God has raised up his family to fill his shoes. His daughter Deb is now leading worship, and keith's youngest son Joe preached the house down last Sunday! He's only 17 and it was his first time! Praise God! Keith's family is back to doing everything they did before, and more. I used to wonder what would happen to my church years down the road since there are only a handful of young people, but God has used this to show me He can raise people up in a second. I think maybe God is saying it's time for my generation to start taking the reigns. It's time to grow up and start taking responsibility, we can't just sit in the pews for a few hours every Sunday and leave and go about our merry way anymore, we've got to run this church someday! I was "volunteered" for sound board last Sunday night and I think this may be the Lord prompting me to start helping with that. I'm seeing things differently now, our leaders aren't getting any younger and the time to start learning is now, it's on us young people to live up to their legacy!
Something else amazing happened on Sunday night. The Lord gave me both a revelation and a healing!. My eye had drifted back out since my surgery months ago and I was seeing double almost all the time, and the doctor wanted to do another surgery to try to fix it. The first operation made things worse so I spent all day Friday praying and fasting about wether I should have the second surgery or not. I came up for prayer on Sunday night and a few people prayed over me for my double vision to be healed and God gave the pastor a word of knowledge "It is so" and that I had double vision because I was double-minded! Since that moment my eye has still been off but I have not seen double! Thank you Jesus! My physical vision is off because my spiritual vision is off. God has been dealing with me about my double-mindedness for awhile ( what psychologists call schizophrenia), but that's a whole other story that i'll save for another time. |
